Flash Player Latest

Macromedia Flash Player is a cross-platform browser plug-in which allows users to stream and play video content and SWF files, play games and browse visually rich interactive websites. Flash Player works with all major web browsers and has been updated over the years to include support for high-definition videos and 3D graphics with the ability to be played inside your browser window.

The early versions of Flash Player went from the basic elements in version 2.0 that supported vector graphics, bitmaps, stereo sound and tweening color changes to added improvements in playback and animation in version 3.0. Version 4.0 saw mp3 streaming capabilities introduced and the new motion tween, which perfected the movement of objects. In 2000 it saw the release of version 5.0 that came with advances to the ActionScript improving Flash Players interactivity features and compatibility with graphical rich web applications and web-based games. New improvements, security updates and support for latest operating systems continued through the years leading up to 2005 which saw the acquisition of Macromedia Flash Player by Adobe Systems.

The evolution of Flash Player continued with version 10+ which supported HD quality videos and graphics, enhanced audio playback and accelerated graphics rendering. The ActionScript was updated in this version to accommodate for rich 3D graphics and videos. Flash Player 11.0 took a major leap forward in providing compatibility with mobile devices and Stage3D accelerated graphics rendering.
(In version 10.1 there is no uninstaller packaged with the software therefore you cannot remove the software and re-install an older version. Just follow these steps (link to a website or I can write out the steps) if youre looking to revert to an older version).
Flash Player versions 2 - 9 are all compatible with Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP. Flash Player 10 is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7. Flash Player 11 is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7. If you are using Flash Player v10+ you must ensure your web browsers versions are compatible, check the system requirements page at adobe.com. Adobe no longer offers support for old versions of Flash Player.

Pros: Supports videos, animation and graphics, works with most web browsers, great performance, supports HD / 3D graphics.
Cons: Rare stability issues, problematic for mobile devices drains battery, slows mobile device down, too many mobile ads.
